Scout and Guides using of K.V.Dhenkanal is registered with Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Head Quarters, New Delhi. As many as six Scouts and six Guides are anxiously waiting for the Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp and subsequently they will be appearing in the Rastrapati Scout Test this year. The Scouts and Guides of K.V.Dhenkanal have shown their excellence in community work and social services in various camps, trekking, hiking and adventure activities. They have scope for value education through outdoor camps all faith prayers and cultural activities in camp fire programmed in the lap of nature.

  Dhenkanal being a region of hills , forests and rivers the scouts & guidesof the Vidyalaya are given ample opportunity to participate in Hiking, Trekking and other adventurous activities. They have also proficiency badges in community work and good citizenship. Classes and camps are held on Sundays along with troop meetings , flag break ceremonies, parade etc. Cubs and Bulbuls are given opportunity for  'good turn' which is an important aspect of scouting.
