Brief Description of the Vidyalaya
Kendriya Vidyalaya , Dhenkanal established in the year 1994 is the unique institute of its kind affiliated to CBSE ,New Delhi and has been catering to the needs of children belonging to transferable Central Govt. Employees, Defence Employees as well as the floating population of the district since its inception. It provides excellent academic opportunity from class I to XII both in primary and secondary education with NCERT & CBSE courses. Training is imparted for the development of the personality through various Co-Curricular activities. A sense of patriotism and leadership quality is developed among the students through sports and games , Scout and guides , Regional science exhibition and Quiz competition. Important values such as Honesty, Sincerity, Punctuality and National Integration are inculcated among the students with the help of a group of dedicated, devoted and highly qualified teachers and Principal.

Kendriya vidyalaya, dhenkanal is situated at Banamali Prasad (By the side of NH:- 42,Bhapur road)in the District Headquarters of Dhenkanal, in the eastern Indian state , Orissa.The NH:-42 connects Dhenkanal to the major cities of the state and the country. The state capital Bhubaneswar is 70 kms away from the School.KV, Dhenkanal is 7kms away from the Bus stand and 14kms away from the railway station dhenkanal.
